New Leaf Restorative Counseling, LLC

Hanna Bingham, MA, LPCC, NCC, CTP

My name is Hanna (she/her/hers), I'm an LGBTQIA+, anxiety, and trauma therapist, and I work remotely with individuals and couples across Colorado. I specialize in narrative therapy, a form of counseling developed in conversation with indigenous forms of healing through community and story-telling. Narrative therapy is particularly effective in healing trauma rooted in systemic issues or generational trauma. Narrative therapy doesn’t try to erase the past, pretend you can rationalize your way to healing, or put a pretty bow on trauma. Instead, it helps you hold your experiences with compassion and choose how you want to carry your story as you move forward. You become the author of your own life, in conversation with and supported by your community, not the systems, voices, or beliefs that once left you feeling silenced or alone. This approach is particularly powerful when paired with somatic therapy (my other specialty), helping you to heal your nervous system, manage anxiety and trauma responses effectively, and feel safe in your own body.

If you feel weighed down by anxiety, trauma, relational issues, identity struggles, or the lasting impact of religious harm/systemic injustice, this is the right place for you. Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ adults, those who are suffering under the exhaustion and weight of systemic/cultural harm, or survivors of religious trauma/Christian nationalism. My clients carry exhaustion, dread, and fear from living in systems that have questioned, silenced, or shamed who they are. Clients also come to me with anxiety and trauma of various kinds, which often shows up as a feeling of being on edge all the time, struggling to be present, a soul-deep form of burnout, or the ache of feeling like they’re not enough. Couples come seeking help with better communication strategies, healing from relational stress, or skills to drive the relationship in a healthier direction. You may long for healing, for your body to feel regulated and safe, and for the freedom to be fully yourself. You are not alone, healing is possible, and your story truly matters.

I provide affirming, trauma-informed therapy, and together we’ll untangle harmful messages that have shaped you, teach your body to feel safe, calm your nervous system, and re-author the stories holding you back. You'll reclaim your identity while moving toward a more authentic and empowered life. As a queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-oppressive therapist, I offer care that is collaborative, tender, respectful, and moves at the right pace for you. Whether you’re healing from trauma, recovering from a harmful spiritual background, or seeking growth beyond anxiety or hard life transitions, I'll walk with you in it.
